So I woke up this past Thursday morning in a blue-funk. This winter season, in particular, here in Bar Harbor with the seemingly non-ending cold and snow, has really been getting to me. Polar vortex and all that jazz. Global warming, my ass.
Anywhoo, after giving Ginger her plate of tuna, Finn came into the kitchen in a (very annoying) upbeat mood and announced that his dwarfed long-bearded counterpart, a.k.a pain-in-the-ass-gnome Bob, had tickets for us to attend some exhibit...at noon! I agreed to go, but only because it seemed easier than arguing with perky Finn so early in the day.
After I demanded that we stop for my double expresso, we made our way to the Abbe Museum. This is what greeted us a short distance from the entrance:

Seriously??? Leave it up to Bob and Finn to drag me to an event like this. My very life has been nothing BUT a twisted path since I met those two freaks.
Once we walked in though, we saw a wicked exhibit featuring contemporary Native American art. I stopped complaining (just for a moment) and found myself lost in intrigue. Apparently this Questions of Balance was the third incarnation in a series, and it focused on indigenous perspectives on environmental impact and conservation. There were even presentations from very gifted and talented local artists. Who knew we had stuff like this available to us right here?? I sure didn’t!!
When we got home I had to admit to Bob that the exhibit was actually cool and interesting. Yes, even I swallow my pride every once in awhile.
Of course swallowing my pride meant that my plan for rearranging Bob’s short little anatomy had to be put on hold until the next time he screws up. Although now that I think about it, I don’t even think I would enjoy seeing him sporting his white beard on his ass. ;-)
