Spring fashion abounds and, I swear, Finn spends more time trying on clothes and primping himself than I do. Check out this Prada look from the 2014 spring collection that the vampy diva has been totally into…still not sure what he loves more: the outfit or the guy wearing it!
WANTED:
New home for one annoying gnome. Goes by the name of Bob. Dress him in green, and he could easily pass for your lucky leprechaun…Happy St. Patrick’s Day everyone! (By the way, unfortunately I’m just kidding…not able to get rid of him that easily.) Finally!! Daylight Saving Time! I don’t know about you, but I love that our daylight hours will now be extended.
So with all the thoughts and images I’ve been having of my brother as of late, I found myself wondering what would have happened if my twin bro and I had been born right when one of these switches in time had taken place. Well it seems that Daylight Saving Time can change birth order—on paper, anyway. For example, during the time change in the fall, one baby could be born at 1:55 a.m. and the sibling born ten minutes later, at 1:05 a.m., actually making the second twin appear older than the first twin…freaky! As for the spring, there’s a gap when no babies are born at all: from 2:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m.…talk about quickly making the possible impossible! So Amy called me last week and suggested that we head out to Wild Iris Farm on the weekend to go for a horse-drawn carriage ride complete with Shire Draft horses, hot chocolate, and even sleigh bells if you can believe it. My BFF was persistently trying to convince me that 30 minutes of taking in historic farms would be loads of fun, AND she reminded me that these rides would be done for the season soon…sooooo, I caved, regardless of the very strong likelihood that we’d be freezing our asses off. (we did.) I have to admit that Saturday’s ride with my BFF and 10 other people we’d never met before, was for the most part, pretty fun.
But as we rode through the woods along the way, mentally I was back to the time I was in a different forest. Damn! This happens every time I’m in, or near, the forest--images of my twin brother were, yet again, flashing through my mind. So was that the reason for the uneasiness I started feeling about 15 minutes into our ride? I did my best to shake it off and enjoy the ride, but it’s now Wednesday, and it just won’t go away…FML! |
